Description of the property
The Dom odborov Istropolis complex is being redeveloped into a multifunctional commercial and social center featuring residences, offices, shops, a hotel, and a cultural hall. The property was acquired by developers in 2017, followed by an urban-architectural competition held in 2018-2019. The final design was unveiled in the summer of 2020. The project entails the demolition of the existing complex and its replacement with urban-defining, central development. The cultural and social hall is intended to host prestigious international events, concerts, and congresses, and will be surrounded by a series of squares and courtyards, further defined by office towers and a residential building. The developer aims to preserve the values of the original Istropolis while creating a new sub-center for the city. The project is presented with alternative options, with the preferred variant involving the removal of one of the residential buildings and the reduction of the tallest tower's height.
